Value Study Round 2

This week I chose to make a value study using a photo reference I had in my "material reference images" folder. Smooth materials like metals and pearls have always been a challenge for me. I used the oil jitter brush and the cotton ball rub smudge brush for the bulk of the painting, then used level adjustments to tweak the highlights, and finally, added some gradients to deepen the shadows.
